Summary: It’s hard to find time to get away but when you finally do it’s nice to be surprised by the beauty that surrounds you. This rental is both spacious and homey. Having views of the lake was breathtaking and the fact that it is literally in your backyard only added to the serenity of the scene. The game room was a plus on rainy days... the price was right and there were no disappointments.

Summary: Marguerite and Bob’s second floor, 2-bdrm, 2-bath apartment on Lake Elmore is simply fantastic! It was very very clean, extremely well appointed, and the beds are so comfortable. The huge game room attached to the main house is a major bonus! The location is perfect for convenience. You can walk to the beach, pop into the general store, and get into Stowe in a snap. Although this is not a complete house (it’s the second floor apartment), we were not at all bothered by having folks downstairs. We could not have been happier.

Summary: This property is absolutely stunning, situated at a very picturesque location and is right by the lake (the pictures don't do enough justice). The property was very well kept and the description was spot on. The game room was a huge bonus as we spent quite a bit of family time there. The property comes with canoes which was another fun thing to do for us. We thoroughly spent enjoying the evenings by the firepit located right by the lake. The owners were very responsive and super friendly. Very highly recommend this property to others.

Summary: Beautiful setting right on the lake. We chose that location since it was easier to get to Jay Peak, Stowe and Montpelier. Great setting to watch some movies at night, after using the game room.

Summary: We wanted a place close to stowe, smugglers and Jay and this was ideal for that. Very nice house and the owners were helpful. The caretakers at the country store next door were very helpful as well. The only downside was that there was no wifi which is a blessing for a short stay, but we stayed 8 days, so, could have really used that. Edit after original review: We left a day early due to severe cold weather that day. The owners of their accord offered to refund us for this. This is truly gracious of them.

Summary: This upstairs apartment is amazingly well designed for two or more. Two baths, lovely color coordinated towels great kitchen and large screen tv. The game room is a winner for rainy days and the canoes allow for easy water access. My favorite spot was looking out on to the lake from the breakfast bar...watching the mist rise and form with the mountain in the background. You must be aware that there is no oven/ or toaster oven.... the pizza parlor next door was accommodating. We would go back. :)

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the house next to the store. The view from the breakfast bar was a great way to start the day. Looking out you see the lake, the beach and the fire tower on Mt Elmore and consider your options over morning coffee. With the store and Fire Tower Pizza next door you can really fill several days without ever getting into your car. The game room was great on the rainy days. Interior is really nicely renovated- marble counters, wide beamed floors, and tastefully decorated. It was set up well for kids- books and toys and bunk beds. We'll be back!

Summary: Everything in the description and photos were exactly as advertised. The living quarters were inviting and beautifully decorated and the space was larger than I had expected. The rooms were warm and cozy with what appeared to be modern upgrades to a 19th century well cared for home. The game room provided the kids with a great place to hang out and we spent a lot of memorable hours there. I noticed a canoe was on property and it would be great fun for exploring the lake in the summer. The owners were welcoming and most helpful in arranging all the details for the rental. The place was very clean and beautiful. We look forward to visiting this property again and would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful get away.
